A few days ago a student asked me if I would be here for the next school term, which starts in a couple of weeks. I said yes, I’ve got a year and a half more left until I move on to the next thing. Then I realised that ment I wouldn’t be around to see her and the rest of my 1st grade students graduate, which made me unexpectedly sad. A year and a half is quite a long time, after all.
It’s moments like these that make me realise how good Japan has been for me. I’ve grown exponentially here, faced some significant challenges and made some excellent friends. A year and a half more is going to fly past so quickly.
Gav will be about 2 by then right? 1.5 years doesn't seem like much but tons will no doubt change between then and now.
