Hey folks. Let me introduce Gille, a Japanese artist and YouTube starlet. Gille is impressive because she sings Japanese Pop songs (J-Pop), such as hits by AKB48, in English. Relatively good English too. Her debut CD, “I AM GILLE” came out in July this year. Check it.

Now obviously J-Pop isn’t for everyone (unless you’re actually Japanese), but Gille is awesome in my book because she’s making English cool. When you teach students that live for J-Pop you soon realize this woman is pure gold!
