Delve into Avernos and Claustrophobia News

It’s been a busy week in the bunker, including having my backside kicked in a rousing game of Munchkin Bites. That hasn’t kept me from Claustrophobia though, or the world of Avernos. So without further ado… the news:

Claustrophobia

I’ve literally spent hours hacking away at the text for the beta. Why? Well, you deserve a well thought out game, and if I can polish it up nicely, I will. I’m making sure that the text is more readable, has more content and is in every way a fully playable and enjoyable game. I’m not going to make any promises on the release date for the beta, but let me have your e-mail address and name and I’ll add you to the growing beta play test group. That’s all you need to do to bring on more garden gnome chaos than you can throw a fist full of dice at. You know you love garden gnomes!

Don’t forget to keep an eye on our Claustrophobia Facebook page. I’ve got all kinds of insanity planned and you won’t want to miss out.

Avernos

The world of Avernos is the fantasy setting that I first began exploring last year with my first attempt at NaNoWriMo and then with Lunatic Labyrinth. It is a dark world where evil powers spill forth from the very bowels of hell and only a few brave races stand braced to resist the tide. This year I’ve got more adventures planned for Boden Grey and friends which means I’ll be adding more free content to the wiki. Stay tuned for more on magic, the pantheon of Avernos, numerous locations and secret factions.

Wish me luck, I’m going to win this year.

Games

As I already mentioned, I played Munchkin Bites with some friends this week. If you haven’t played any of the Munchkin family of games by Steve Jackson Games then you should do yourself a favour and check it out. I’m a big fan of this parody card game and Bites will have you either in or mocking goth boots in no time. Two thumbs up.
